My main focus at PressReader was creating wireframes for the "Your Library" section of their app redesign. The "Your Library" page is where the titles that a user has downloaded, tags that a user is following and where the user can find their favourite publications.
When I started creating the "Your Library" page, I started with doing a few user interviews around the company, I even interviewed the CEO to see what his vision was for users. The tests involved asking open ended questions about preferences when interacting with apps, competitive analysis and personal opinions. A big challenge was figuring out content should be put in "Your Library". I used some Information Architect skills to determine what should and should not be included.
During this practicum, it was only required of me to create the wireframes as the designs were being done by another company.
Another big project I completed while at PressReader was a teardown of their Windows app. Pressreader's lowest percentage of users came from Window device users however, that small percentage still equaled a large number of users. My task was to essential break the app, find out what works, what doesn't and how better UX can be implemented. Below is the video of my findings.
PressReader was also interested in updating their corporate sites. They wanted to have a few websites that are geared towards each specific B2B they cater to. PressReader's biggest issue was that they needed all of these sites to be different, but still stay the same.
I theorized that they could achieve just this by having all of their specific sites, but have them be linked via their menu and footer.
